Cynthia (Cindy) Sosa, LICSW
I am an LICSW and received my graduate degree in Social Work at the University of Wisconsin. I began my career in psychotherapy over 25 years ago, providing treatment for teens and adults across the lifespan in the greater Boston, Metrowest, and North Shore areas and at Cambridge Health Alliance, where I supported the Somerville Community for over ten years.
My interest in energy healing led to Reiki Master training and the study of energy psychology and Dr. Henry Grayson’s EFTA, an adaptation of the Emotional Freedom Technique. I am certified in the Tapas Acupressure Technique, an easy to use tool that assists in decreasing limiting beliefs, unwanted habits, and past traumatic events. I have deep appreciation for the clients I serve, and a keen awareness for the importance of kindness, compassion, and a sense of humor in all therapeutic relationships.
Mary Vergados, LICSW
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Boston University. I completed Boston University’s training on Integrating a Positive Youth Development for Youth in Care; Brief Strategic Family Therapy through the University of Miami; the Foundations of DBT with Adolescents, and the ARC Model and Trauma Informed Care for Runaway and Homeless Youth, through the University of Oklahoma.
I have successfully worked with hundreds of children, adolescents and families for over eighteen years to address and resolve a wide range of issues that impact a person’s quality of life. Blending a strengths based, solution-focused approach with sensitivity and appropriate use of humor, I help adolescents and families who have been affected by depression, anxiety, trauma, loss, low self esteem, relationship issues and life adjustments. I bring a strong skill base and a variety of therapeutic modalities including psychodynamic, mind-body, cognitive-behavioral, trauma and family systems theories to my clinical practice. My goal is to provide a safe, respectful and healing environment in which to support your growth and rediscover strengths to heal from the past and prepare for the future.
