Meet Our Team
Rebecca Lawrence, LICSW
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social worker with a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. I practice from a person-centered and strengths based perspective, and I believe therapy should be a collaborative process. I work to create a warm and open environment where my clients can safely explore and process their emotions. My clients would describe me as compassionate, genuine, non-judgemental, and not afraid to use a little humor. Together, we will work to identify your goals and build a plan to help you move forward. You are the expert on your own life, and I consider it an honor to support you on your journey.
I have worked in a variety of settings including outpatient mental health, home care and hospice, and outpatient oncology. I have experience working with teens, young adults, and adults looking to better manage anxiety, depression, and everyday life stressors. Additionally, I enjoy working with caregivers, cancer patients, college students, young professionals, and women with perinatal mental health concerns.
I know each person is unique, and I am flexible in my therapeutic style. I incorporate a range of therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I work well with clients who are ready to explore themselves and make lasting change.
