Meet Our Team

Rebecca Wassell, LICSW

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree from the University of Michigan. With more than 10 years of clinical experience, my psychotherapy practice is focused on working with adolescents, young adults and adults. I practice from trauma-informed and strengths based perspectives. I have extensive experience working with depression and anxiety, with additional specialties working with trauma/PTSD, eating disorders, Health At Every Size, gender identity, LGBTQ+ identities, families of addiction and life transitions. I pull from a wide variety of tools and theories, working collaboratively with my clients to customize a plan that meets them where they’re at and reflects their individual therapeutic goals. Every person is different, and their needs may change as the work progresses.

I find great joy and fulfillment in doing this work and in building strong therapeutic relationships with my clients. I approach therapy as a flexible, collaborative process that places client voice and choice at the helm, with you informing your own priorities and goals. I utilize skills and techniques from talk therapy, narrative therapy, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, art therapy, and mindfulness practices as appropriate, integrating other skills and theories as needed. I want to work with you to find a plan and combination that works best for you as an individual, so that together we can work to best meet your goals!

We look forward to working with you!
